PLAIN 100 MILE ENDURANCE RUN
Forest service trails and roads in the Cascade mountains in the Lake Wenatchee, Entiat, and Chelan ranger districts. There are 75 miles of trail and 25 miles of forest service roads, all remote. Elevation gain and loss of 21,000 feet. Train for a fairly steep and difficult course with great scenery.
WHAT:  100 + Miler, 36 hour time limit.
WHEN: Sat/Sun Sept.13th and 14th 2008
ENTRY: $65 Pre-register only by Sept 1, 2008. No day of race. Limited to 50 Runners ($60 cancellation refund before 8/31). Guest dinners $10 pp.
QUALIFY: Must complete a TRAIL 100 mile or equivalent prior to entry.

Thousand Trails Clear Creek Lodge in Plain, WA near FSR 6100; Center for all activities around the Plain 100 Race: Start/Finish, pre-race meeting, pre-race dinner, pre-race breakfast, Search & Rescue HQ, lodging, showers (bring your own towel/soap).

DRIVING:  From I-5 take Highway 2 to Steven's Pass. Go up and over Steven's Pass, take Highway 207 to Lake Wenatchee State Park (about 5 miles). 1/4 mile past the park entrance turn right to Plain, (Highway 209). Look for left turn directing you to Thousand Trails, about 3 miles ahead on the left. Advise the gate guard that you are with PLAIN 100. He will issue a pass. Proceed to the Clear Creek Lodge.

AID: NO AID STATIONS, NO PACERS. WATER FROM STREAMS SO BRING YOUR FILTER. CREW ACCESS AT 55 MILES ONLY. DROP BAGS AT 55 MILES ONLY. BRING YOUR WATER FOR DROP BAGS.
DROPPING OUT: Dropping out at other than S & R checkpoints may require the participant to arrange their own way back to the start/finish line. Much of the course is back country with little or no access to retrieve dropped runners.
